Cacheños

Cacheños” represented a unique opportunity to delve more deeply into the lives of those who shape the cultural identity of this town. In a corner of Argentina marked by its natural beauty and deep-rooted traditions, this series of portraits seeks to give voice and face to the true protagonists of the Cachi community, in the Calchaquí Valley of the province of Salta.

Each portrait is much more than a simple photograph; It is a window that opens to the inner world of the town’s inhabitants. In their looks, in their gestures, discover stories of generations, connections with the land and with the rich cultural heritage that characterizes this corner of the country.

Through this series, he aims to reflect the spirit of the people of Cachi. Their wrinkles, their smiles and their looks are witnesses of a life marked by tradition, resilience and human warmth.

In each of these people, the story of Cachi comes to life: the constant struggle to preserve their cultural legacy, respect for the nature that surrounds them, and the determination to build a future that honors their roots. These images are a tribute to the richness of Cachi’s cultural identity and the timeless beauty that emanates from the people who call this place home.

As I developed this project, I not only discovered more about Cachi, but I also forged deep bonds with those portrayed, who shared with me their experiences, their memories, and their hopes for generations to come.

Cachi, Salta, Argentina.
